Hangout is a coffee shop/social space that fosters community, creativity, and connection. The branding revolves around a playful, inclusive “gaggle” of animal friends; each one quirky, relatable, and with its own personality. The goal is to create a relatable brand identity.

The challenge was to counter productivity-driven café culture and create a place that prioritizes comfort, familiarity, and connection. The visual identity uses character-led branding to reflect everyday moods and personalities, helping customers see themselves in the brand. Soft colours, playful naming, character-driven drinks, and themed events shape Hangout as a real-world social space that encourages lingering, interaction, and a shared sense of community.
